- The research aims to know the impact of gender equality in the fields of education, health and manpower on the economy of regencies and employment to the local economy in Musi Rawas district (period of 2000-2009).. Models estimated using regresion. Method using of literature study and observation. The result of the research shows that gender equality in the fields of education, health and opportunities for employment has positive impact on the economy of Musi Rawas regency Access discrimination toward women on education, health and opportunies for employment can obstruct regional economic development. More than on economic purpose, gender equality was part of on honor to human rights and also was a society empowerment for both men and women to obtain equality of acces to, participation in, and possess to control and the equality of benefit in development.
