  • The ideological struggle behind discourse, on the one hand, becomes learning through the dialogue process, on the other hand, can be a potential conflict. The struggle for religious discourse on cybermedia seems to be getting stronger in this digital era. Production through cyber media significantly constructs an increasingly contradictory reality. This is what causes the realm of religion in social media to have a strong impact on social practices. This research focuses on the attention to the struggle between nonviolent discourse (ahimsa) and the religious tradition practices of Hindu society in Bali where there appears to be violence. The use of animal sacrifice in the ideological side of traditional practitioners has a reason that comes from the belief system that the animal is not hurt but has been elevated by its evolution to a higher realm. This study uses a critical discourse analysis method of ahimsa's discourse, especially in contradiction with some of the traditions represented in cybermedia. This study found ideological struggles in the discourse of ahimsa, especially in cybermedia. It appears that there are pros and cons in the ahimsa and himsa discourses. There is also resistance represented in the form of the deconstruction of praxis rituals into the production of hybrid rituals and vegan behavior by performing selective ritual traditions with the motive of avoiding acts of violence. It appears that there is a discourse struggle in cyber media that shows social irregularities, namely acts of bullying, stigmatization, hate speech that require solutions to overcome difficulties that are increasingly visible on social media.
