- Radio is a medium that broadcast information in an auditive manner, but it does not mean that radio broadcasts can not perform its function as a medium of information one of which is through talk show. As in the Public Radio City of Denpasar which is a local public broadcasting under the auspices of the Government of Denpasar as one of the public service innovation that becomes the solution of various problems of the city through the delivery of information one of them in the form of talk show. A communication strategy is needed to achieve the goals of this talk show and rhetoric plays a very important role in every communication activity. Communication strategy in talk show in Denpasar Public Radio is analyzed through five basic concepts of rhetoric, starting from discovery stage, compilation, communication style, memory and delivery. The findings obtained about the communication strategy in talk shows in Denpasar Public Radio that has a character that is much different from the other radio principles. The uniqueness of it can be found through the mindset, working mechanism, internal regulation and supervision system based on the idealism “Sewaka Dharma”. With this spirit of public service idealism, as the soul of the system of broadcasting in Public Radio City of Denpasar. Making the concept of public service as a foundation in carrying out obligations is the motto of Public Radio Denpasar, so moving without the element of ego in making a profit.
