- This research exploring communicative actions of the spiritual movement that represent the ancient Vedic tradition within the framework of contemporary Balinese society. The Veda Poshana community practices Agnihotra ritual as the main domain of its spiritual culture. This can be seen as one of the marks of contemporary ideological transformation in the mainstream of Balinese culture. Veda Poshana Ashram aims to provide the vehicle for Vedic cognitive learning and its spiritual practice for members and the general public. This spiritual community has compiled and planned several programs of activities, namely: humanity (medicare, educare), social (sociocare) spiritual and publications. Nevertheless the Agnihotra or homayajna rituals are a Vedic tradition that seems to dominate when compared to other programs. This article focuses attention on the communicative actions of this community in the Agnihotra ritual practice. The communicative action of this community has led to a transformation in the representation of ideology or practices of meaning of ancient local Vedic wisdom originating from India with Balinese traditions. The synergy between Agnihotra's ritual modality with Banten tradition in Bali gave birth to new identities and negotiations as well as new representations in the culture of the community.Keywords: communicative action, Veda Poshana Ashram, Agnihotra
