- This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach, qualitative data analysis method of Miles and Hubberman and SWOT analysis. The results showed that profes- sional teachers who were taught by Kartika IX-28 BTC kindergarten based on the principal’s assessment of Kartika IX-28 BTC Purworejo kindergarten teachers in terms of mastery of materials and methods is 3.19 with Good category, then reviewed from curriculum and syllabus Kindergarten got average with 3,83 with very good category, and evaluated from mastery of knowledge and development of kindergarten profession profession equal to 3,67 with very good category. Based on interview result and SWOT analysis, professional done by Kartika IX-28 kindergarten teacher BTC through super- vision, training, Teacher Activity Group, discussion with peers. Keywords: Development of Professional Competence
