  • The low average test scores in the last three years have resulted in the low quality of education in the Bulu District Primary School. This study aims to develop an effective strategy in improving the academic supervision competence of primary school principals in the Assisted Area II, Bulu District, Temanggung Regency. This type of qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques by interview and documentation. Miles and Huberman's model of data analysis technique. The results showed that the coaching of the In-On-In-On pattern was an effective strategy to improve the academic supervision of primary school principals in the Assisted Area II, Bulu District, Temanggung Regency. The principal needs to find the right solution to overcome the factors that hinder the implementation of academic supervision so that academic supervision can be carried out in a directed and sustainable manner. Prepare careful planning before carrying out academic supervision, so that in carrying out supervision it is more directed to achieve the expected results.
