- Pendahuluan Pada masa remaja sering terjadi adanya kesenjangan dan konflik antar remaja dan orang tuanya. Pada saat ini ikatan emosional menjadi berkurang dan remaja sangat membutuhkan kebebasan emosional dari orang tua.Sifat remaja yang ingin memperoleh kebebasan emosional dan sementara orang tua yang jarang sekali mengawasi dan melindungi anaknya.Tujuan mengetahui hubungan fungsi afektif keluarga dengan kecerdasan emosional remaja kelas VIII di MTsN 12 Jombang. Metode Desain penelitian ini menggunakan analitik kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 120 remaja di MTsN 12 Jombang yang duduk di kelas VIII dan 92 sampel dengan tehnik propotionalte stratified sampling. Variabel independen fungsi afektif keluargadan variable dependenkecerdasan emosional remaja. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunkan kuesioner, pengolah data editing,coding, scoring dan tabulating yang kemudian di analitik uji rank spearman dengan nilaiα (0,05).Hasil penelitian ini di dapatkan hasil bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki fungsi afektif yang cukup sebanyak 60 remaja (65,2%) dan sebagian besar responden memilikikecerdasanemosional yang cukup sebanyak 67 remaja (72,8%). Berdasarkanhasiluji statistic rank spearman diperolehnilaibesar p = 0,000.Kesimpulanpadapenelitianiniyaituadahubunganfungsiafektifkeluargadengankecerdasanemosionalremaja. At this time emotional bonding becomes less and teenagers desperately need emotional freedom from parents. The nature of adolescents who want to gain emotional freedom and while parents rarely supervise and protect their children. The purpose to determine whether there Is there relation affective function of the family with emotional intelligence adolescent class VIII in MTsN 12 Jombang.The design of this study using quantitative analytics with cross sectional approach.Population of 120 teenagers in MTsN 12 Jombang who sit in class VIII and 92 samples with propotionalte stratified sampling technique.Variabel independent affective function of families and dependent variable of adolescent emotional intelligence. The instrument of this research using questioner, editing, processing, coding, scoring and tabulating which then in analytical rank spearman test with α value (0,05). The results of this study obtained the results that most respondents have enough affective function as many as 60 teenagers (65.2%) and most respondents have enough emotional intelligence as much as 67 teenagers (72.8%). Based on the results of statistical test rank spearman obtained big value p = 0,000. Conclusion in this research that there is relation of affective function of family with adolescent emotional intelligence.
