- The research has done the understanding of hydroponic farming in Pusaka Junior High School student in Sindang Jaya Village, Cianjur Sub-district. This research was conducted by using survey on students of Pusaka Junior High School through questionnaire. Questionnaires taken from 21 students include knowledge of how, the media, advantages, experience, and maintenance of hydroponics plants. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively by using descriptive statistics. Respondents know the definition and manner of hydroponic farming, the maintenance and production of hydroponics plants. Hydroponic farming is still interpreted by respondents literally, so most respondents stated that the media such as sand can not be used. Most of the students had already vandalized hydroponic farming, but respondents claimed that hydroponic farming was more expensive than conventional farming. To increase students' desire to do hydroponic farming, the school is expected to apply it in an integrated manner with subjects with empowerment of school gardens or existing facilities.
