- Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang masalah dalam menulis. Untuk mencapai tujuan, data dikumpulkan dari kuesioner selama proses melaksanakan penelitian survei di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, program studi Bahasa Inggris, Universitas Kristen Indonesia pada bulan Juli 2019. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 siswa yang dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian survei dilakukan dengan memberikan kuesioner melalui Google Form. Data kuantitatif yang dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki masalah dalam menulis. Namun demikian, dengan mengetahui penyebab penulisan, ada peluang untuk mengurangi masalah penulisan. This study aimed to find out students’ perception of writing problems. To attain the objective, data were collected from a questionnaire during the process of carrying out survey research at English Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Kristen Indonesia in the academic year 2018/2019. The study involved 60 students as the research subjects. The survey was conducted by providing a questionnaire through Google Form. The quantitative data were analysed using the descriptive analysis technique. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the majority of the students had problems in writing. Nevertheless, by knowing the causes of writing, there were changes to reduce writing problems.
