  • Various researches and experiments in the field of concrete are carried out as an effort to improve the quality of concrete, one of which is to improve the quality of concrete that is added with additives Plastiment VZ. It is expected that are results of research and experiments are able to answer the increasingly high demands in the implementatio of casting which sometimes takes a long time. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect to of Plastiment VZdose on K-250 concrete, the dose of this study was 0%, 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3%, 0,4%, 0,5%. The test used is a compressive strength test to determine the K-250 concrete while setting time to determine the inisial sett time and final sett. From the laboratory test, it is obtained the concrete compressive strength characteristics at 28 days with 0,5% dosage variations with compressive strength of 297,7Kg/cm2. While the addition and use of Plastiment VZ concrete have an impact on the setting time that affects the inital sett and the final sett the higher the addition of Plastiment VZ then the longer the inital sett and final sett because the function of the Plastiment VZ itself slows the setting time of the concrete. On the addition of a Plastiment VZ addictive dose at a variation of 0,5%, the setting time occurs at the latest with the initial setting time of 553 minutes or 9 hours 13 minutes and the final time setting of 745 minutes or 12 hours 25 minutes.
