  • flood that occurred in the Bandara Residence area of Sukarami Subdistrict, Kebun Bunga Village, Palembang City, in recent years often flooded when heavy rains hit the area. A drainage system that is no longer able to withstand a large amount of water flow is received, resulting in an overflow of water from the drainage canal in the area. Overcoming flooding can be done by considering the factors that cause flooding that occur: the increase in rainfall is quite large, the channel conditions are not optimal, the amount of sediment piles and garbage that clog the canal. From the results of observations in the field and channel analysis that caused flooding at Bandara Residence, Sukarami sub-district, Kebun Bunga Village, Palembang City, it was no longer able to accommodate high rainfall due to sediment buildup that clogged the canal. Therefore normalization is done by dredging existing sediments and waste to anticipate long-term channels so that a new drainage system is needed so that the flow of rainwater can be flowed optimally.
