  • ABSTRAC Musi VI construction bridge is using steel frame type, this bridge is connecting Sultan Mansyur street through Pangeran Sido street in Ilir Barat II subdistrict Palembang to the area of the Faqih Usman street and K. H. Wahid Hasyim street in Seberang Ulu I sub-district Palembang. This bridge conctruction is one of the programs of the South Sumatera provincial government to reduce traffic jam in Palembang city especially in the Ampera bridge. The foundation used in the construction of the Musi VI Bridge in Palembang City is a type of group pile foundation (Steel Pipe). With consideration to using this foundation is to know from the results of soil investigations that have been obtained from the results of the field. The results of the calculation of carrying capacity analysis of group piles, at the P1 point Meyerhof 7896,877 kN and Vesic software allpile 13932.47 kN with a difference of 43.3%, while Vesic 14823,166 kN and Vesic allpile software 13932, 47 kN with a difference of 6.4%. The carrying capacity of the foundation with the smallest difference is 6.4%, while the carrying capacity of the largest foundation is 43.3%. So the calculation of a very efficient and safe variation at point P1 is Ø1200, a depth of 25 m, 4 stake points, the volume of the pole is 113.04 m3, with a difference of 36%, with a bearing capacity of 14306.99 kN.
