Jawa timur memiliki beberapa objek pariwisata religi salah satunya Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah. Keberadaan pondok memberikan manfaat tersendiri bagi masyarakat sekitar, terutama pedagang di sekitar pondok. Pedagang di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah tentu akan saling berinteraksi dalam kegiatan perdagangan. Rumusan masalah untuk penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana karakteristik perdagangan di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Desa Sananrejo? (2) Bagaimana bentuk interaksi sosial antar pedagang di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Desa Sananrejo? (3) Bagaimana bentuk interaksi sosial pedagang dengan pembeli di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Desa Sananrejo?(4) Bagaimana makna interaksi para pedagang di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Desa Sananrejo?. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan interaksionisme simbolik. Kehadiran peneliti dalam penelitian ini sebagai pengumpul data. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah di Desa Sananrejo. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan sekunder, dengan subjek dan informan yang dipilih secara snowball. Prosedur pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri atas pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Pengecekan keabsahan data dalam penelitian menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Tahap penelitian yang dilakukan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh beberapa kesimpulan penelitian. Pertama, terdapat 7 jenis usaha perdagangan di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah . Mayoritas perdagangan dijalankan oleh perempuan dan paling banyak memiliki tempat usaha menetap. Kedua, interaksi antar pedagang terjadi dalam kelompok kecil dan adanya organisasi Forum Peduli Kampung (FPK) di lingkungan pedagang. Ketiga, interaksi antara pedagang dengan pembeli terdapat dalam proses jual beli. Keempat, makna yang terkandung dalam interaksi para pedagang terdapat dalam interaksi verbal dan interaksi nonverbal. Manfaat penelitian ini bagi pendidikan IPS dapat dijadikan tambahan wawasan dan dapat menumbuhkan sikap peka sosial, positif dan terampil. Disarankan peneliti selanjutnya mengkaji mengenai pedagang di sekitar Ponpes Bi Ba’a Fadlrah di luar prespektif interaksionisme simbolik atau dapat meneliti hubungan antara FPK dengan Pemerintah Desa Sananrejo terkait pengelolaan area sekitar pondok untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Sananrejo secara keseluruhan. East Java has several religious tourism objects, one of them is Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School. The boarding school existence gives some advantages especially for the sellers around the boarding school. They definitely interact with commercial activity. The research problems of this study are: (1) What are the characteristics of trade around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School in Sananrejo Village? (2) How are the forms of social interaction among the sellers around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School in Sananrejo Village? (3) How are the forms of social interaction between the sellers and the buyers around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School in Sananrejo Village? (4) How is the interaction meaning of the sellers, seller an the around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School in Sananrejo Village? This research is qualitative research with symbolic interaction approach. The researcher acted as a data collector. This research was conducted around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School in Sananrejo Village. Data sources which are utilized in this research are primary and secondary data with subject and informant chosen by snowball. Data collecting procedures utilize observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis technique utilizes Miles and Huberman’s interactive model which consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification. This research utilizes triangulation source and triangulation method to check the data authenticity. The observational phases are consisted of preparation performing, and reporting phase. Based on the data analysis, it is obtained several observational conclusions. First, there are seven kinds of trades around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School. The majority of trade are performed by women and having the most permanent trade places. Second, the interaction among sellers happens in a small group and the existence of Forum Peduli Kampung (FPK) organization in sellers area. Third, the interaction among the sellers and the buyers exists in merchant process. Fourth, the meanings that consist in the interaction of sellers are verbal and nonverbal interaction. The benefits of this research for social science program are becoming additional knowledge and growing social sensitive attitude, positive and competent. It is suggested for future researchers to analyze concerning the sellers around Bi Ba’a Fadlrah Boarding School beyond the perspective of symbolic interaction or analyze the relationship between FPK with Sananrejo Village government related to area management around the boarding school for economic prosperity of Sananrejo Village society as a whole.
