- Hampir setiap orang pernah mengalami gangguan kesehatan gigi, baik berupagangguan gigi berlubang maupun gangguan jaringan penyangga gigi. Upaya pemeliharaankesehatan gigi yang masih sangat rendah menjadi pemicu banyaknya terjadi gangguan penyakitpada gigi dan mulut pada manusia. Setiap harinya terdapat puluhan orang yang memeriksakangangguan pada gigi dan mulutnya di Rumah Sakit Brawijaya Malang. Rumah sakit yang baruberoperasi sekitar tahun 2014 ini memiliki pengolahan data secara semi manual, artinyapencatatan rekam medik yang menggunakan Microsoft Excel baik dari diagnosis awal maupundari data rekam medik berkelanjutan. Faktanya terkadang dokter jaga memiliki keterbatasandalam menindak lanjuti pasien maka dari itu, digunakan Sistem Pakar Diagnosa Penyakit Gigidan Mulut Menggunakan Metode Forward Chaining (Studi Kasus:RS. Brawijaya Malang).Sistem pakar penentu penyakit gigi dan mulut ini dimulai dari mencari fakta tentang gejaladiagnosa penyakit dari beberapa fakta tersebut nantinya akan digunakan untuk menentukanjenis penyakit dan menghitung probabilitas dari masing-masing penyakit. Pengujianfungsionalitas terdapat 17 Penyakit Gigi dan Mulut. Keseluruhan hasil pengujian inimenunjukan bahwa sistem ini mampu membantu admin/perawat dalam mendeteksi penyakitsebelum mendapat tindak lanjut oleh dokter yang bersangkutan.Kata Kunci : Forward Chaining, Sistem Pakar, Diagnosa, Penyakit Gigi dan MulutMost people have experienced dental health problems, either cavity problem orperiodontitis or inflamition of the tissue around the teeth. Low dental health maintenancetriggers dental and oral diseases. Everyday hundreds of people visit Brawijaya Hospital to getdental and oral maintenance. This hospital was recently opened around 2014, and has amanual data management, it means that the medical records using microsoft excel both in earlydiagnosis as well as from on–going medical records. The facts show that the doctors havelimitation giving follow ups to the patients. Therefore, the Expert System Diagnosis for Dentaland Oral Disease Using Forward Chaining Method (Case Study:RS. Brawijaya Malang). Anexpert system that determine oral disease features seeking the facts about the symptoms ofdisease diagnosis and some facts first that later will be used to determine the type of diseaseand calculate the probability of each disease. Functionality Testing showed that are 17 mouthand teeth diseases. Overall, the results show that this system can help the nurse to detect thedisease before the patient gets a follow-up treatment from the doctor.Keywords: Forward Chaining, Expert System, Diagnosis, Oral and Dental Health
