- Computer network is a system consisting of computers, software and network devices that work together to achieve a common goal. In order to achieve the same goal, every part of the computer network requests and provides services. In following the development of technology today many fields require computer networks. Computer networks provide convenience between computer users, with the existence of a computer network the transformation of data between computers can be done easily and quickly. Therefore effectiveness and efficiency can be achieved which ultimately results in higher productivity. The purpose of this journal is to provide additional insight to students of class X RPL 2 regarding computer networks and provide practice from computer networks. With the demonstration method about the installation of peer to peer or client server on the local network, so it can be concluded that the students of SMK 1 Depok understand the basics of network systems starting from definitions, benefits and disadvantages, types of computer networks, network devices computer and trouble-shooting identification and able to implement computer networks. Key words: Peer to peer, networking, computer science Jaringan komputer adalah sebuah sistem yang terdiri atas komputer, software dan perangkat jaringan yang bekerja bersama-sama untuk mencapai suatu tujuan yang sama. Agar dapat mencapai tujuan yang sama, setiap bagian dari jaringan komputer meminta dan memberikan layanan (service). Dalam mengikuti perkembangan teknologi saat ini banyak bidang yang membutuhkan jaringan komputer. Jaringan komputer memberikan kemudahan antar pengguna komputer, dengan adanya jaringan komputer transformasi data antar komputer dapat dilakukan dengan mudah dan cepat. Oleh karena itu efek-tifitas dan efisiensi bisa dicapai yang akhirnya produktifitas lebih tinggi. Tujuan dari jurnal ini adalah memberikan wawasan tambahan kepada siswa/i kelas X RPL 2 mengenai jaringan komputer dan memberikan praktek dari jaringan komputer. Dengan metode demonstrasi tentang instalasi peer to peer atau client server pada jaringan lokal, sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan Siswa/i SMKN 1 Depok memahami Dasar Sistem Jaringan Komput-er mu-lai dari definisi, manfaat dan kekurangan, jenis-jenis jaringan komputer, perangkat jaringan komputer serta identifikasi trouble-shooting dan mampu mengimplementasikan jaringan komputer.
