- ABSTRAK Light Table merupakan alat yang penting dalam pekerja drafter/desainer untuk pengerjaan gambar. Light Table memiliki berbagai jenis dari yang berbentuk meja ataupun hanya bentuk kotak sesuai ukuran yang dibutuhkan oleh seorang drafter/desainer. Desain light table yang ada dalam pasaran hanya memiliki fungsi untuk tracing saja berbeda dengan produk yang akan dirancang. Dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada matakuliah riset penulis memilih blockboard sebagai bahan utama utuk pembuatan Light Table dengan finishing menggunakan HPL untuk menjaga ketahan dari blockboard tersebut. Selain itu juga dari hasil observasi sebagai desainer/drafter membutuhkan meja yang memiliki beberapa fungsi untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya. Maksud dari perancangan ini adalah memberikan alternative baru dalam kasus ini. Inovasi yang dapat membantu para drafter/desainer yang efisien dan menginginkan fungsi lebih dari sekedar meja tracing pada umumnya. Kata kunci : Meja tracing, Desainer, Kayu, Drafter, Inovasi. ABSTRACT The Light Table is an important tool in the drafter worker / designer for drawing work. Light Table has various types of table-shaped or just a box shape according to the size needed by a drafter / designer. The design of the light table in the market only has a function for tracing just different from the product to be designed. From the results of observations made in the research course the author chose blockboard as the main ingredient for making Light Table finishing using HPL to maintain the resistance of the blockboard. In addition, from observations, the designer / drafter needs a table that has several functions to complete the task. The purpose of this design is to provide a new alternative in this case.
