ebonit atau fiber dan dilapisi dengan konduktor yang terbuat dari bahan tembaga.
Proses etching PCB masih banyak dilakukan secara manual. Proses tersebut
memiliki beberapa kelemahan, antara lain: 1) Operator memiliki resiko yang besar
terkena larutan kimia yang dapat menyebabkan iritasi pada kulit; dan 2) Waktu
proses cukup lama, yaitu lebih dari 20 menit. Oleh sebab itu diperlukan sebuah
mesin etching PCB yang dapat menghindarkan operator dari resiko terkena larutan
kimia dan mempercepat waktu proses. Mesin etching PCB dengan berbagai
teknologi sudah cukup banyak tersedia. Namun dari aspek biaya masih cukup
tinggi. Oleh karenanya, dibutuhkan sebuah mesin-mesin etching PCB yang
sederhana namun cukup efektif mengatasi kelemahan proses etching manual.
Pada Penelitian ini akan dilakukan perancangan prototipe mesin etching PCB
yangakan bekerja berdasarkan perintah yang dimasukan via Telegram berbasis
Raspberry pi. Ketika seluruh proses etching PCB telah selesai dilakukan maka
Raspberry pi akan memerintahkan kamera untuk menggambil gambar. Selanjutnya
hasil foto tersebut akan dikirimkan melalui aplikasi Telegram.
Hasil pengujian tingkat error waktu proses etching pada saat PCB dicelupkan
pada cairan etching adalah 0,7%. Sedangkan untuk hasil pengujian tingkat error
waktu proses pada saat PCB dicelupkan pada cairan etching adalah 1,7%. Dari 4
kali percobaan, rata – rata waktu respon pengiriman pesan seluruh proses etching
PCB sampai pesan masuk via telegram adalah 3 menit 3 detik. Sedangkan rata –
rata waktu respon pengiriman pesan gambar yang diambil USB Webcam sampai
pesan masuk via telegram adalah 7,42 detik. Lamanya waktu respon bergantung
pada kekuatan sinyal sambungan internet.

Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is an insulator board made of ebonite or fiber
and coated with conductors made of copper. Process of Etching PCB is still done
manually. The process has several disadvantages, including: 1) Operators have a
greater risk of being exposed to chemical solutions that can cause irritation to the
skin; and 2) The processing time is quite long, which is more than 20 minutes.
Therefore a PCB etching machine is needed which can prevent the operator from
being exposed to the risk of chemical solutions and speed up processing time. PCB
etching machines with various technologies are quite widely available. However,
the cost aspect is still quite high. Therefore, PCB etching machines are needed that
are simple but effective enough to overcome the weaknesses of the manual etching
process.
In this research, a prototype of a PCB etching machine will be carried out
which will work based on commands entered via the Raspberry pi based Telegram.
When the entire PCB etching process has been completed, the Raspberry pi will
instruct the camera to take pictures. Furthermore, the results of the photos will be
sent via the Telegram application.
The results of testing the error level during the etching process when the PCB
was dipped in etching liquid was 0.7%. As for the results of testing the error rate
of processing time when the PCB was dipped in etching fluid was 1.7%. Of the 4
trials, the average response time for sending messages throughout the PCB etching
process to incoming messages via telegram is 3 minutes 3 seconds. While the
average response time of sending a USB Webcam picture message to incoming
messages via telegram is 7.42 seconds. The response time depends on the signal
strength of the internet connection.
