HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPRIBADIAN NEUROTICISM DENGAN SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING DALAM MELAKUKAN MICROBLOGGING TWITTER

- This study aims to determine the relationship / correlation between neuroticism with subjective well-being amongst twitter users. This research is quantitively taken using the purposive sampling method and has resulted a total of 191 active twitter user. Neuroticism personality is measured using a scale from the Indonesian adaptation of the 'Big Five' theory (Ramdhani,2012) where it consists of 8 items. On the other hand, subjective well-being is measured by using the Statisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) which is developed by oleh (Ed Diener & William Pavot, 2008) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) which is developed by (Ed Diener dan Robert Biswas-Diener, 2009) scale which consists of 5 and 13 items respectively. The technique use in data analysis is the Pearson Correlation test with the help of SPSS Statistic 22 for Windows. The data analysis suggests that there is a significant negative relationship between neuroticism personality and subjective well-being amongst users, with the correlation coefficient of -233 and a significant value of 0.001<0.05. This result can be interpreted that the higher the neurotic personality, the lower the subjective well-being of a person. Keywords: Personality Neuroticism, Subjective Well-Being Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepribadian neuroticism dengan subjective well-being pada pengguna twitter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, dengan total responden 191 orang pengguna twitter aktif dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Kepribadian neuroticism diukur dengan menggunakan skala dari teori big five yang telah diadaptasi dalam bahasa Indonesia (Ramdhani, 2012) yang terdiri dari 8 item dan untuk subjective wellbeing diukur menggunakan skala Statisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) yang dikembangkan oleh (Ed Diener dan William Pavot, 2008) dan PANAS Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) yang dikembangkan oleh (Ed Diener dan Robert Biswas-Diener, 2009) yang terdiri dari 5 dan 13 item. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi pearson dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS statistic 22 for windows. Dari hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kepribadian neuroticism dengan subjective well-being pada pengguna twitter, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -.233 dan nilai signifikan 0.001 < 0.05. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa semakin tinggi kepribadian neurotik maka semakin rendah subjective well-being seseorang. Kata kunci : Kepribadian Neuroticism, Subjective Well-Being
