- Students attendance in the classroom is a very important task and if taken manually wastes a lot of time. There are many automatic methods available for this purpose i.e. biometric attendance. All these methods also waste time because students have to make a queue to touch their thumb on the scanning device. This work describes the efficient algorithm that automatically marks attendance without human intervention. with schools have webcam-equipped computers fitted in each school, and we can implement face recognition to attend with these facilities. Students only need to look at the camera as they enter the classroom, after the face has been detected, the name, date, time and student ID will appear on the web list, as well as being more efficient and faster, parents can also monitor their children on the web anytime, anywhere, through live list updates. Teacher documentation will be easier as participation information can be obtained daily to excel documents and backed up on clouds.
