ANALISIS TUJUAN INVESTASI SISTEM INFORMASI AKUNTANSI (Studi kasus pada PT. XYZ)

- The research objective is to analyze the real purpose of the company PT. XYZ invested in accounting information systems. (a) Is the company investing accounting information systems only intended for the replacement of jobs from manual to computer, (b) Is the accounting information system invested only intended to support the automation of accounting processes and (c) Is the accounting information system invested intended to support strategic company. The research method used is a literature study of literature that supports, field research and through questionnaires that have been distributed to employees of PT. XYZ Central Jakarta. The results of this study indicate that the purpose of the accounting information system investment as a whole is to change the jobs related to the accounting process from manual to computer and also aims to automate accounting information systems in the accounting process, but only a small part of the purpose of accounting information systems is directed to gain competitive advantage. Keywords: Analysis, investment, accounting, computerized, automation, strategic information systems Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis tujuan sesungguhnya dari perusahaan PT. XYZ dalam menginvestasikan sistem informasi akuntansi. (a) Apakah perusahaan menginvestasikan sistem informasi akuntansi hanya ditujukan untuk penggantian pekerjaan dari manual ke komputer, (b) Apakah sistem informasi akuntansi yang diinvestasikan hanya ditujukan untuk mendukung otomatisasi proses akuntansi dan (c) Apakah sistem informasi akuntansi yang di investasikan ditujukan untuk mendukung strategik perusahaan. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan studi pustaka terhadap literatur -literatur yang mendukung, penelitian lapangan serta melalui kuisoner yang telah dibagikan kepada karywan PT. XYZ Jakarta Pusat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tujuan dari investasi sistem informasi akuntansi secara keseluruhan adalah untuk mengubah pekerjaanpekerjaan terkait proses akuntansi dari manual ke komputer dan juga bertujuan untuk mengotomatisasikan sistem informasi akuntansi dalam proses akuntansi, namun hanya sebagian kecil saja tujuan sistem informasi akuntansi di arahkan untuk memperoleh keunggulan kompetitif.
