ANALISIS DETEKSI KERETAKAN POROS RODA KERETA MENGGUNAKAN METAL CRACK DETECTOR (MCD) DI PT KAI PERSERO

- Wheel axle is one component of several components contained in railway facilities. The shaft is assembled with two wheels into one wheel or wheel set and rotates with the wheel because it is attached to the asnaff. The train wheel shaft is a very important component as one of the safety devices in the train bogie system and is directly related to passenger safety. Early detection of cracks on the wheel axle of the train is one of the methods used to prevent malfunction of the carriage shaft when operating. Metal crack detector (MCD) and Ultrasonic Crack Detector (UCD) are metal crack detectors that the author uses in conducting this research. This paper tries to analyze the results of detection of wheel shaft cracks on the train. This analysis shows the results of the comparison of detection on the wheel axle of the train using a metal crack detector and ultrasonic crack detector has a ratio of the percentage of cracks that is equal to 5% and the difference in time for 1 second, with details of detection using a metal crack detector found a percentage of cracks of 15% with the time taken for 5 seconds and the ultrasonic crack detector is 20% with the time needed for 4 seconds. Poros roda merupakan salah satu komponen dari beberapa komponen yang terdapat pada sarana perkeretaapian. Poros dirangkai dengan dua keping roda menjadi satu kesatuan perangkat roda atau wheel set dan berputar dengan keping roda karena terpasang kedalam asnaff. Poros roda kereta merupakan komponen yang sangat penting sebagai salah satu perangkat keselamatan pada sistem bogie kereta api dan berhubungan langsung dengan keselamatan penumpang. Deteksi keretakan pada poros roda kereta secara dini adalah salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk mencegah kegagalan fungsi pada poros roda kereta pada saat beroperasi. Metal crack detector (MCD) dan Ultrasonic Crack Detector (UCD) adalah alat pendeteksi keretakan logam yang penulis gunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini. Tulisan ini mencoba untuk menganalisa hasil deteksi keretakan poros roda pada kereta. Analisa ini menunjukan hasil perbandingan pendeteksian pada poros roda kereta menggunakan metal crack detector dan ultrasonic crack detector memiliki perbandingan persentase keretakan yaitu sebesar 5 % dan selisih waktu selama 1 sekon, dengan rincian medeteksi menggunakan metal crack detector ditemukan persentase keretakan sebesar 15 % dengan waktu yang dibutuhkan selama 5 sekon dan ultrasonic crack detector sebesar 20 % dengan waktu yang dibutuhkan selama 4 sekon.
