A WEB-BASED APPLICATION FOR INVENTORY ITEMS USING QR BARCODE

- Business competition in the world of work is very tight lately and which has continued to increase from year to year. It is, if not matched by support from technology owned by the company, may impact the deterioration of the company and even to be faced is the bankruptcy because crushed by other companies due to inability to keep pace and meet the demand of the market, namely the speed of timely service coupled with the quality of the any items shipped to the customer. Electronic commerce (e-commerce) is the process of purchase, sale or exchange of products, services and information via computer networks. commerce is part of e-business, in which the scope of e-business more broadly, not just commerce but includes also collaboration business partners, customer service, etc. The study aims to to facilitate the inventory process of items and to make efficient beside that the study aims also to facilitate the employees to know the stocks of items owned then to control these items are saved in the database. QR barcode is used to shorten the time in processing the items while to sell the items we need e-commerce service because in this time many people use the internet to buy the items they need. The methodology used in this research is the method of Waterfall in a case study / field and also BlackBox testing method selected. The result of this study is inventory and sales process of items is expected to be better in terms of security and efficiency of time in the storage or sale of items. Proposed application can be applied as a system that will assist the process of inventory of items with a large number and a short time or fast.
