Keberadaan dan peran industry ban dalam pun dewasa ini terus meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah kendaraan darat, sehingga menghasilkan limbah dalam jumlah besar dan kurangnya upaya pemanfaatan ban dalam untuk menjadi barang yang bernilai. Oleh karena hal tersebut, perlu dibuat sebuah inovasi produk guna sebagai pemanfaatan limbah ban dalam yang makin marak, khususnya pada studi kasus di Bandung memiliki volume cukup besar.
