supporting local activities, namely the tourism sector, is a government effort in
developing the economy on the island of Alor. Mali Airport, the airport location is
located in District Kabola which is about 7 km from downtown Kalabahi which is the
capital of Alor Regency. The design of the airport serves as the gate and symbol of
Alor Island by observing the standard of function and comfort of an airport to increase
the potential tourism in the form of natural attractions and local cultural tourism local
communities. This concept is used so that the designs obtained continue to follow the
development of the era without leaving the traditional value of local values that must
still be maintained.

Bandar udara Mali, Alor termasuk dalam jenis Bandar udara pengumpan fungsi utama
sebagai prasarana penunjang kegiatan lokal, yaitu pada sektor pariwisata, merupakan
usaha pemerintah dalam mengembangkan perekonomian di Pulau Alor. Bandar Udara
Mali, lokasi bandar udara terletak di Kecamatan Kabola yang berjarak sekitar 7 km
dari pusat kota Kalabahi yang merupakan ibukota Kabupaten Alor.. Desain bandara
yang berfungsi sebagai gerbang dan simbol Pulau Alor dengan memperhatikan
standar fungsi dan kenyamanan sebuah bandar udara hingga mampu meningkatkan
potensi pariwisata berupa wisata alam dan wisata kebudayaan tradisional lokal
masyarakat sekitar. Konsep ini digunakan agar desain yang didapat tetap mengukuti
perkembangan jaman tanpa meninggalkan nilai nilai tradisional setempat yang tetap
harus dipertahankan.
