- ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the thermal performance through the evaluation of ventilation in the colonial-style building architecture, how much influence the ventilation to the thermal performance of the classroom, viewed from the architectural building technology of this colonial architecture is a building built only in Europe that has a subtropical climate and began to spread to Humid tropical climate such as Indonesia will surely affect the convenience of temperature in building users, it is influenced by various components such as windows made large and large to adapt to the climate in Indonesia, through this research will be studied how much influence the window openings to the natural cooling of space and whether had provides thermal comfort to the building user, the method used is using measurement variables, observation (Evaluative), and measuring the components of the aperture to find out how big the effect on the associated space temperature with natural classroom cooling (Quantitative). Keywords: colonial building, ventilation, windows, natural cooling, classroom ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja termal melalui evaluasi ventilasi pada bangunan bergaya arsitektur kolonial, seberapa besar pengaruh ventilasi terhadap kinerja termal ruang kelas, dilihat dari teknologi bangunan yang bergaya arsitektur kolonial ini merupakan bangunan yang hanya dibangun di Eropa yang memiliki iklim subtropis dan mulai merambah ke iklim tropis lembab seperti Indonesia tentu akan mempengaruhi kenyamanan suhu pada pengguna bangunan, hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai komponen seperti jendela yang dibuat banyak dan besar agar beradaptasi dengan iklim di Indonesia, melalui penelitian ini akan dikaji seberapa besar pengaruh bukaan jendela terhadap pendinginan alami ruang dan apakah masi memberikan kenyamanan termal pada pengguna bangunan, metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan variabel-variabel pengukuran, observasi (Evaluatif), dan mengukur komponen-komponen bukaan tersebut untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruhnya terhadap suhu ruang yang berkaitan dengan pendinginan alami ruang kelas (Kuantitatif).
