- In this paper, experimentally drag coefficient over sphere with roughness variation has been investigated. Fluid flow over three kinds of roughness levels was investigated experimentally to determine the drag coefficient at different value of air velocity. The study of three sphere with similar diameter (64mm) and three kinds of roughness levels indicates that the drag coefficient decreases as the roughness level and the air velocity increase. Maximum drag coefficient is 0.540 and minimum drag coefficient is 0.1174. Experimental results provide useful information of interest to potential industrial application.
