- For given grafs G and H, The Ramsey number R(G,H) is the smallest natural number n such that for every graph F of order n must contain G or the complement of F contains H. This paper shall study the Ramsey number of star versus wheels, namely R(Sn,Wm) for n < m. We shall show that Ramsey numbers R(S4,Wm) = m+3 for m 6, R(S5,Wm) = m + 3 for m 8 even, otherwise R(S5,Wm) = m+4, and R(S6,Wm) = m+5 for m 10.
