- Dental caries is still a problem as for children health. The prevalence of ECC according Ameeican Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (APPD) children aged 12-36) months was 57.7%. Has not much different when compared to the prevalence in Indonesia, in 2012 conducted by Essie et al the prevalence of ECC children aged 3 years in Jakarta 52,7% while Singapore the prevalence of ECC 56.78%.
- Essential oils contained in the lime juice has anti-bacterial activity, especially phenolic compouns. Inhibition of bacterial will also in hibit the formation of plaque on the teeth, especially those in children with early childhood caries.
