A. Samsu Alam, M.SI as consultant I and Dr. Jayadi Nas M.SI as consultant II. This research is located in Barru and aims to determine the increase in local revenues from the fisheries sector and to determine the factors that influence the increase in local revenues from fisheries sector in Barru. This research was a study case using descriptive and qualitative method. Technique of collecting data this research was visual observation, collecting data through direct observation toward the object of research, interviewing the informants, and library study through reading books, magazines, newspaper, document, laws, and internet which was supported by secondary data. These results indicate that the role of the Department of Marine and Fisheries to increase regional revenue in the fisheries sector Barru is pretty good with the programs being run and in the provision of aid still needs to be improved. The factors affecting among other factors supporting and inhibiting factors which contributing factor is the synergy of each element of the government, the participation of the community (fish farmers). And the limiting factor is the quality of human resources is still low, erratic weather.
