- The aim of this research was to know factors affecting willingness to pay for chicken meat from biosecure farms. This research was conducted in Makassar regency, South Sulawesi province. Sample were choosed through random sampling at two supermarkets namely Lotte Mart and Gelael. Total sample were 50 respondents which consisted of chicken meat consumers. To know the willingness to pay for chicken meat from biosecure farms, contingent valuation method was used. Data were collected through interview using questionnaires and pictures. Probit Logistic was estimated to examine the factors affecting to pay at premium price for chicken from biosecure farms. The research revealed that age, gender, education and income were simultaneusly influenced significantly willingness to pay for chicken meat from biosecure farms (P < 0.05).
