  • Jeneberang river was flow from Lompobattang volcanic eruption. The eruption precipitated minerals along the Jeneberang river, which contains metals and non metals. The discovered of minerals Jeneberang watershed are in the form of joints and veins. The prospect of mineralization is also supported by geological structures. Geologically, Sulawesi Island at its surrounding area is a complex region. The complexity was caused by convergence between three lithosperic plates: the northward moving Indo-Australian plate, the westward moving Pacific plate and the southeast moving Eurasian plate. The research was conducted to determine the content of metallic elements and mineral composition of rocks by using XRF method (X-Ray flourescence) - XRD (X-Ray Difraction) and AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy), as well as distribution pattern of the metallic element that found in river flow downstream of Jeneberang. The results showed that there were 16 metals and 15 minerals element contained in the research area, but the percentage is enough high only Fe (iron), Ca (calcium), K (potassium), Al (aluminum) and albite, Feldspar, and Anorthite. Patterns of distribution of metal elements, such as element Fe (iron) contained in each sampling locations, but low levels in Bissua and Kampili, whereas in Mawang, Sungguminasa, Malengkeri, and Barombong are enough high. Element of Ca (calcium) contained in each sampling area, but low levels in Bissua, Mawang, Sungguminasa, Malengkeri, Barombong and only in Kampili whose levels are very high. Element of Al (aluminum) founded in the area Bissua, Mawang, Sungguminasa, Malengkeri, Barombong with low levels, and no element of aluminium was found in Kampili. And element of K (potassium) are very low in Bissua, Mawang, Sungguminasa, Malengkeri, Barombong, even in Kampili content of the potassium element does not exist.
