- This paper discussed involuntary resettlement as impact of construction of Bili-Bili Dam Discussion of Environment impact as well as change of human ecology will be carried out in the following sequence: first, impacts to environment during construction period, and second, during utilization of the dam. During the construction period, activities that brought significant impact to the environment included relocation of provincial roads, house evacuation and land acquisition, about 2.085 families to be relocated from the reservoir area. The human ecology was changed due to operation of the dam. People around the dam perimeter started to cultivate fish by using fish cages, more than 4.000 non irrigated lands will be irrigated, about 26.000 ha of rice field will continuously received irrigation water, the availability of raw water for potable water in Makassar city and the availability of one (1) cubic meter per second for river maintenance flow.
