- The use of an interactive application in a mathematics classroom is recommended. The application supports the proposed learning strategy that makes the students being familiar with the subject before receiving the formal description of the subject. In particular, this paper discusses the use of Maplet created in Maple to interactively display the P-positions and strategic moves for a player to win the Wythoff game and other two generalizations of the game: k-Wythoff and Lucas games. Using Maplets, an instructor can also introduce the underlying fundamental mathematics of the games - Fibonacci word, Fibonacci sequence, Lucas sequence, golden ratio, Beatty sequences, monoid over an alphabet and other game-related theories in automata, combinatorics, fractal or graph theory to his/her students.
