- Commercial Sex Workers (CSW) often become a common phenomenon in today’s society. In doing sommercial activity, CSW’s experiencing anxiety of reality/ social, moral, and neurotic/ medical. This study aims to provide an overview of anxiety and coping strategies on Young Adult Women Commercial Sex Workers in Jakarta. The study uses in-depth interview techniques. The studies took place in the span of 11 months, August 2013 to June 2014. The analysis interview results concluded, there are presences of anxiety that parents, friends or partner knowing the commercial sexual activities. Also feeling of moral guilt and anxiety of sexually transmitted diseases. They do Problem Focused Coping (PFC) in the form of direct action, seeking assistance, information seeking and Emotional Focused Coping (EFC) in the form of avoidance, denial, positive reappraisal.
