- The aim of this research is to describe meaning in life of emerging adulthood women who experienced trauma in romantic relationship. The participants are single women who lives in DKI Jakarta. The participants were selected using criterion sampling. According to Baumeister and Vohs (2007), meaning in life is individual’s life understanding, which is related to individual’s significant and purposeful existence. Meaning in life is required by traumatized individuals to understand their present life. Then, individuals will be able to give a meaning for their past and present life in more positive way. In-depth interview method was conducted towards three women (aged 18-25 years old) who experienced trauma in romantic relationship since one or more years before. This study began from December 2013 until June 2014. The result shows that the three women experienced trauma in romantic relationship. But, every one of them succeed in finding their meaning in life and experience a better life.
