- The increase in children with autism disorder increases every year so many parents are concerned when their child is diagnosed as autism. In eastern cultures parenting is always given to the mother in educating and caring for children, but in fact the father also plays an important role in the growth and development of children especially boys. Being the father of a child with autism disorder is not easy to provide care. The study was conducted over five months, beginning in August 2012 until December 2012. The results showed that the three fathers who have children with autism disorders applying democratic parenting and showed a positive attitude towards children with involved in providing care to children.
