  • Achievement motivation is the desire to experience success and to participate in activities in which success depends on personal effort and abilities. If adolescents had secure attachment from their parents, hence secure attachment will influence motivation of their achievement. Because adolescents with secure attachment is more feeling safe, supported and paid attention by their parents compared to adolescents with insecure attachment. Attachment is circumstantial and strong emotional bond between two or some people. The goal of this research is to prove that attachment types influences academic achievement. Data amounts to 199 subjects having age 15—19 years old, analyzed applies test one-way between subject analysis of variance. Result of this research indicates that motivation of optimal achievement tended to be owned by individual having secure attachment with their parents.
