- Academic achievement is a very important aspect during educational phase. Intelligence is one of the factors related to that issue. It is important to know whether there is a relation between those variables. Moreover, the purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a positive correlation between intelligence and academic achievement based on emotional intelligence among senior high school students. The data for this particular research was collected using 108 senior high school students, with a range age from 15 to 17 years old. The methods used in the data collection processes were questionnaires and analyses with Pearson Product Moment correlation calculations of SPSS version 11.5. The result indicate that in fact there is a positive correlation between intelligence and academic achievement based on emotional intelligence among senior high school students rxy = 0,442 , p = 0,00 < 0,05.
