- Lots of tasks, duties, and roles which are faced by teachers show that work stres is an unavoidable natural phenomenon for teachers. The quality of stress is affected by the subjective value of working environment which is considered as stressor. This judgement is influenced by individual factor such as characteristic and environment factor such as social support. The objective of this research is to know the presence of the relationship between locus of control and social support with stress on work. Data were collected from 76 public primary school teachers in West Jakarta and analyzed using Pearson product moment. Data collection were done using 3 kinds of instrument: (1) the questionnaire of locus of control, (2) the questionnaire of social support, (3) the questionnaire of teacher's work stress. The result shows that there is no relationship between locus of control with work stress, and no relationship between social support and work stress.
