- Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a type of virus that causes AIDS attacks the human immune system. Once the virus is present in the body, then the individual is infected with HIV forever. HIV disease the women at the age ranged 20-40 years as individuals who infected HIV from their husband. This research aims to get a picture of the process of forgiveness is the young adult women are infected HIV from their husbands. Forgiveness occurs when a person is able to forgive those who have hurt him with genuine, sincere, and loving. There are four stages processes of forgiveness. First realized his anger. Second, make the decision to forgive. Third, showing the action of forgiveness is made. Fourth, free from anger and begin a new life (Enright, 2001). The subjects in this research are four young adult women aged 20-36 years, were interviewed in five month period, from January until May 2012. The results of this research showed the four subject experience several stages in process of forgiveness. But not all of them reached the fourth stage is free from anger and start a new life. In the process, each subject has a unique and different times in the conduct of forgiveness.
