- One of developmental task of young adult women is to establish a married. But nowadays, more young adult women prefer cohabiting to getting married. Cohabitation is a life style unmarried heterosexual couples who living together. On the Eastern cultural society, women who decide to engage in premarital sexual and living together will be considered as shameful women and will experience conflict. This research is aimed to discovering the conflict young adulthood women in choosing cohabiting with their boyfriend. There were four subjects participated in this research. They aged 20-30 years and lived in Jakarta. They has conducted at least 3 months of cohabitation with their boyfriend, and at least high school education. This research using qualitative method. Data collecting using depth interview. The results indicated that the four subjects had experienced conflict in cohabitation. The results also indicated that the four subjects experienced regret, loss, and unhappiness in cohabitation relationships.
