  • Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease involving the skin disorder, arthritis, and internal organs. The disease attacks the woman at the age ranged from 15 to 45 years. Individuals who have experienced physical weakness of SLE disease called organ inferiority. The purposes of this research are to obtain self-acceptance processes of young adult woman who experienced organ inferiority due to systemic lupus erythematosus. Self-acceptance is an attitude of someone looking at themselves positively and to accept her strengths and weaknesses. The self-acceptance process consists of three stages, namely self-honesty to emotion, a sense of belonging itself, and respect for oneself (Brill, 2000). The subjects in this research are young adult women aged 19 to 29 years. The method used was qualitative with in-depth interview and observation. The results of this research showed the five subjects experienced the three stages in process of self-acceptance with different time span. Thus, the subjects could view themselves positively and seek progress according to their potential.
