- The aim of this research is to know adjustment of mothers who have child with Cerebral Palsy. Adjustment is a psychological process which being through by the individual who can organize or cope willingness and daily obstacles. Difficulties of child with Cerebral Palsy can influence mothers in adjusting with the child conditions. There are five respondents who involved in this research. The age of mothers are within 41 to 53 years old, who have adolescent child with Cerebral Palsy. Those are the characteristics of this research. This research was held approximately three months, from May until August 2008, used the methods of interview. The result of this research, indicates that those five respondents have good adjustment. Based on Brofenbrenner’s theory, paying attention on the individual environments, from the smallest until the largest environment, can influence the ability of their adjustment. The supports provided by the family to the society, enable those five respondents to adjust with obstacles of having child with Cerebral Palsy.
