- The most important thing in adolescence is to prepare themselves in choosing a career that will be undertaken. The quality of career decisions are determined by the level of career maturity that teens have. Career maturity is achieved through the behavior and active efforts of individuals in completing the task of career development. The behavior and effort of the student will be influenced by his perspective in the result had been achieved called the locus of control. The aim of this research is to know correlation between locus of control with career maturity for high school students. Subjects in this study amounted 300 high school students. The sampling of technique used in of this research is convenience sampling. Data was collected by using a career maturity questionnaire and locus of control questionnaire. Data was analyzed by using spearman correlation technique through SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results of the correlation test showed that both have a significant positive relationship with career maturity, but the consistent result is the internal locus of control as amount as r = 0.387 with p = 0.000 (p < 0.05).
