  • Scuba diving is now becoming one of the sport that is popular with the public. But beside that this sport has a high risk, so the prosecution of perpetrators of these activities to comply with the procedure dives. According Wenstein, (1998) Optimistic is biased predisposition to expect that everything can run well and according to expectations. A diver smaller believing that he runs the risk of accidents in scuba diving than in others. While in the sport of scuba diving one is obliged to obey the diving procedures to minimize the risk dives. In this study using quantitative research methods with total sampling technique, which is done on 100 subjects. Characteristic in this study is the community doing sports scuba diving. Based on data analysis can be concluded on average subjects have optimistic bias values ​​are relatively higher than the average value scale measuring instrument. It can be concluded optimistic bias in subjects who enjoyed the sport of scuba diving is high.
