- This study aims to provide an overview self discrepancy on early adulthood women who ever did contract marriage (mut’ah marriage). The subjects of this research are three early adulthood women’s aged 20 to 40 who have ever been contract marriage. The research is used qualitative method through in-depth interview. This research was running since June 2012 to December 2012. The result of the research showed the three of subjects experienced self discrepancy types which have differs in each phase’s. That different types of self discrepancy is based on actual/own versus ideal/own, actual/own versus ideal/other, actual/own versus ought/own, actual/own versus ought/other divided into three phase’s. The phase’s is the phase before contract marriage, the phase of contract marriage, and the phase after contract marriage. Actual/own versus ideal/own and actual/own versus ideal/other is the dominant type’s of discrepancy experienced by three subjects.
