- The aim of this research is to know the influence of transformational and transactional leadership styles on the resilience of the military in Indonesia. This research was performed in the beginning of October 2013. The study involved 110 subjects from Kesatuan Komando Cadangan Strategis TNI AD, Detasemen Pemeliharaan Daerah Latihan (DENHARRAHLAT) KOSTRAD, Karawang, West Java, Indonesia. The sampling was done by using non-probability samping. Data collection using a scale of transformational, transactional and resilience. Data was analyzed using SPSS 15.0 program. Result of linear regression analysis of transformational leadership on the resilience of the F value = 5.147, p = 0.025 < 0.050 and R Square = 0.046. The result showed a significant influence of transformational leadership on resilience. The result of the transactional leadership obtained value F = 0.000, p = 0.991 > 0.050 and R Square = 0.000. The result of this study showed no effect between transactional leadership style on the resilience
