- 12th grader are often feeling anxiety towards national examinations, since it is a passing grade that the government has set for them in order to graduate. The aim of this study is to know about the correlation between the anxiety with the parent’s social support perception on students of SMA X Jakarta toward national exams. The study involved 145 students from SMA X Jakarta with purposive sampling technique. According to the correlation test result using Pearson Correlation, it is found that there is no significant correlation, both state anxiety (r = 0,00, p = 0,99 > 0,05) and trait anxiety (r = -0,14, p = 0,09 > 0,05) with parent’s social support. However, further analysis show that the trait anxiety dimension have a negative correlation with two dimensions of parent’s social support, award social support dimension (r = -0,21, p = 0,01 > 0,05) and informative social support dimension (r = -0,17, p = 0,04 > 0,05). Meanwhile, other dimensions have no correlation.
