- Every couple wants to have a happily ever after marriage and get the marital satisfaction of their marriage even for the arranged marriage. The purpose of this study is to know about the factor of marital satisfaction for the arranged marriage husband. Theory that can be used to see the factors of marital satisfaction as expressed by Gottman (in Santrock, 2010) in 7 factors are: (a) Establishing Love Maps; (b) Nurturing Fondness and Admiration; (c) Turning Toward Each Other Instead of Way; (d) Letting Your Partner Influence You; (e) Solving Solvable Conflict; (f) Overcoming Gridlock; and (g) Creating Shared Meaning. This study uses qualitative in-depth interviews as the method of data collection and includes four male subjects (husband) who are at the early stages of adulthood. Data collection was conducted from June 2013 to September 2013. Result of this study showed that three subjects had seven factors as disclosed by Gottman, except one subject had six factors. Of the seven factors, four subjects feel satisfied and happy marriage as expressed by Hawkins (in Olson, DeFrain, and Skogrand, 2008) that marital satisfaction is subjective feeling that is felt by the husband and wife in the form of happiness, satisfaction, and fun experience gained in all aspects of every marriage.
