- The purpose of this study was determined the personality description X university students in general and a personality description of X university students per faculty (viewed from the big five personality trait). Subjects were 392 students at X University, which was the final stage of adolescent development, aged between 18 years to 20 years. In the big five personality variables there are 5 dimensions, that was openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Methods of data analysis in this research using descriptive statistics. The data obtained was processed to obtain a personality profile in general as well as faculty in x university students. Using quantitative research methods through distributing questionnaires and data processing using SPSS for Windows version 15.0, the result is X university students have high score on openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness dimensions. X university students also have low score on neuroticism dimension.
